I've seen people guess in the comments over time that ken's way of "changing the future" is tied to the idea of nobunaga faking his death and leaving the country in the hands of his retainers
I still maintain my personal stance that the Korean campaign was Hideyoshi's way of getting rid of excess samurai.
It was truly disastrous and didn't seem well thought-out at all.
