https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yi_Sun-sin Yi Sun Sin was a legendary admiral, who was trained for the army and a general originally despite that became really good admiral repulsing the Japanese multiple times, never losing a ship. He got demoted since the Korean court was corrupt asf, then goes on to become an admiral again and save the day. Hideyoshi tried to invade Korea after Nobunaga died, but Yi Sun Sin was there to kick Japan out until his final battle where he died due to a gunshot but won anyway because he trained his son and nephew really well.
The good admiral invented turtle ships.
