This is all new to the manhwa (not in the novel) and I guess it's a way of definitively getting revenge on screen for everybody rather than just moving on with the lives happily (the best sort of revenge, if vague).

Pardon my language but holy shit That last panel of the Original Edith... She looks so tired, so Done, with this horrid life... but SO relieved 🥺. I really hope they show a Happier Edith (or whoever she can be now) after the Main Story concludes

I don't remember any scene like that in the novel ) I think it's meant to remind that - between the Original Edith and Suna!Edith (the FL) there were MORE PEOPLE dragged into this mess... I like OG Edith's attitude and demeanor. As cold as though she's simply an observer in this story, despite her deserving to be the most irrate and vengeful. But here and there she let slip just a hint of the pain and emotion she was bottling up inside. When I think about it, since we don't follow her perspective she must seem to us how a lot of these villainess MCs seem to the characters in their stories. Her mystique piques my interest but it's because she's mysterious that she's so interesting so I'm ok with her just disappearing abruptly, as she wishes.

I don't get it. The author didn't pull or bring those people to become Edith just to torture them. It was the original Edith who did it and if the first person didn't reject the author, the author wouldn't have despair
