Anything falling under the banner of "porn tags" is pending a tag rework with the ability to flag tags as some kind of equivalent to the ExH "offensive to everyone" warning, and a way to segregate them from the normal tags.


It's something we want to do, and had plans for back in v3, it's just not particularly high priority.

Plenty of non-porn stories w/ NTR elements (if not main theme) out there. ‘Primarily’ isn’t the same as ‘porn only’, either way. That isn’t some new phenomenon, either. But hey, don’t let some lowly user harsh your ‘it’s a low priority’ pandering to the vocal genre haters. It’s as relevant a tag as many others on this site but no doubt requires someone to do something to add it… Daunting, no doubt.

I'd say it's primarily a porn tag yes, but there's enough non-erotic manga with such elements (either throughout the whole story or as exposition) to warrant a warning tag. I'd say in my personal experience it's only slightly less prevalent than gore and that has a tag.

Maybe instead of NTR just add "Cheating" as temporary solution? Most NTR would fall under that, and it would also work for non-porn manga.

Exactly. There are content contentious tags such as LOLI and SHOTA which are also often, if not predominantly, porn or erotica tags (on this site, anyway) and yet they seem to exist without warnings or issues.

There is absolutely zero reason why an NTR tag should not exist. None. It would be of use to both fans and haters of the subgenre. It cannot be that difficult to simply add one word to the filter list. IMO they just don't want to because 'haet ntr lulz'.

Also, it's the non-porn instances of NTR content (and they're out there, which is why you see reddit lists to that effect) that most people get upset about, anyway. Why wouldn't you want folks to be able to make note of that and avoid it?

NTR is a porn tag. True. BY definition everything showing sex is pornographic and it includes the definition of sexing to submission - NTR.
