I'm already getting those vibes from her, her personality just screams fake to me for some reason

I get that this is apparently an adaptation of a novel, but it does feel jittery and jumping around in the story a bit. I've never read this novel, and I'm mildly curious to do so, but this manga feels like the writing lacks good exposition and transition.

I like that they both knew each other's secret identities. I'd have hated it if they still had to play guessing game on top of setting up a precarious (not)friendship on thin ice.

I feel skeptical about her sister, she could easily be the same at home to her the way his stepsis and stepmom are to him. People like her with sunny attitudes in a manga like this? Suspicious. Her being his editor (WN->LN adaptation editor, I'm guessing) would complicate a potential friendship with Pomeko if Saeko's also one of the people who hurt her.
