Trust me I've been there, I got betrayed by my friend twice, on the day of the betrayal I wasn't able to concentrate on anything and cried all day and after that stopped making friendsI always hated the teachers advice this chapter, MC wasn't betrayed like it was some minor thing. He had his life ruined multiple times by people he trusted and then later tried to pretend it either didn't happen or was water under bridge. Especially the line "Getting a friend you don't mind betraying you once or twice" like no friends don't betray you.
I think it's a rule or something teachers in manga have to give the worst advice and be terrible human beings. I know how this series goes and the fact is the teachers advice is the hint the writer has clearly never been betrayed before. Geh such a good premise series that gets wasted :STrust me I've been there, I got betrayed by my friend twice, on the day of the betrayal I wasn't able to concentrate on anything and cried all day and after that stopped making friends
Man getting betrayed is extremely painful trust me
Agreed never seen a teacher giving good advice in a story, except in naruto maybe I.e Iruma senseiI think it's a rule or something teachers in manga have to give the worst advice and be terrible human beings. Yeah seems like the first thing to try and get forgiveness is admit that the allegations were false. Even if he started going out or hanging out with them without them refuting the allegations, there would probably be worse rumors about him blackmailing or forcing them to be with him, simply because of his reputation.seriously though why do they even flock to him like moths even though he got a bad rep and they're the ones responsible for it? like don't they think the bad rumors will latch onto them too? and why haven't they just... help deny the allegations instead then? i understand guilt factor, but it's pretty weird overall. like it feels like a forced introduction that doesn't really lead anywhere deep except reiterating why he doesn't trust anyone.
Don't you mean Iruka? It's Iruka SenseiAgreed never seen a teacher giving good advice in a story, except in naruto maybe I.e Iruma sensei
I mean it isnt a harem at all. Although I agree with bad writing. Its real bad. Some other comments are...interesting. Some do point out that this is all written by an...author. Some. But many of the comments ignore that this is a fictional, controlled world and then...try to justify nonsensical behavior from characters.
This is just somewhat bad writing in parts. The author just wrote badly in some parts. It's literally a harem where there have been zero males with a face other than the MC, and cute girls are actually throwing themselves at the MC. It's just bad writing.
You're right, and I should've been more specific. This isn't a harem because he has no interest in those other girls, but it is still part of the harem genre. It follows much of the same themes and uses many of the same tropes. A misunderstood, average Japanese male teenager has a bunch of cute girls throwing themselves at him. Plus the fact that the artist has depicted zero males other than the MC.I mean it isnt a harem at all. Although I agree with bad writing. Its real bad.
Thing with writing is you have set rules in your world building. This series is set in reality in a school. So people will and should assume it follows reality logic.
This series constantly does things noone would do nor tolerate. With all the allegations its a miracle the MC hasnt been arrested nor constantly beaten. He's a punching bag with legs for society at tgis point and these school allegations will travel with him into adulthood.
He should never have been at a school near thise allegations, also as said above the girls trying to get close to him without admitting they lied could be construed that hes blackmailing and/or threatening them.
This has the same problem as “Twilight” it glorifies toxicitySome other comments are...interesting. Some do point out that this is all written by an...author. Some.
