Usually the opening illustration is a play on a classic socialist realism propaganda piece, so I wonder if there's a connection with the chapter cover here too? I was predicting Myao would use her influence to loosen the rigid state regulations on art while her portrait was commissioned to Eticana's benefit.

But I didn't expect this...
