Yeah, Kariya champions a very idealized world where additives are not required for food.
And while I understand the appeal of it, I also think it's important to understand the benefits of additives, and to trust the scientists who determine their safeness for use (within reason). Cost, for example, is something Kariya always glances over when discussing the use of additives, and that's something that can really only be ignored in an idealized world.
