I wonder if soba’s tsuyu and udon’s tsuyu is the same 🤔
If the udon is also served cold like soba, they will likely use the same type of tsuyu. In general, these tsuyu are sometimes called mentsuyu (dipping sauce for noodles), which doesn't differentiate between soba or udon.
Soba's thinner size lets it carry more tsuyu than udon, so that's what we usually see when we look for cold noodles, but cold udon is not unheard of.
