Two mushroom chapters in a row? Made me wonder if the creator just stumbled upon some factoid about mushrooms and just really had to infodump the readers with them.

Was curious about the second bowl and the Maspro Museum site claims that both Bakouhan bowls had come as a set and then were sent for the repairs together, and that's why there are two of them with same/similar "stapled" clamps.
