I hate the "philosophy is only for those satiated" most of the philosophy I appreciate (Walter Rodney, Frantz Fanon, D&G, Bifo Berardi, Bordiga, Gramsci, and Marx to name a few), exists because of a vacuum in meaning or a social necessity. Philosophy are attempts at understanding systems: ontological, teleology, phenomenology, epistemology, hermeneutics, etc. These systems are the formats in which desire, will, and life in general are formulated and analyzed. Many of these systems inform and control us, so we generate these methodologies to dissect and diagnosed and eventually combat or embrace them. Philosophy is ability for humans to construct or destroy things beyond our individual and explore what it means to be an individual in larger complexes.
