Hi. I'm the translator for this series. Thanks for the comment.

I tl'd this ages ago so don't remember exactly what my train of thought was. And also I for sure don't think my translation was definitely the right choice but lemme try to go through how I ended up with it.

I think it was fine to stray further from literally meaning since these lines are like heavy hitter lines where the mood created is more important so I prioritised making them sound eloquent (And that was what I came up with, which I don't think ended up being very eloquent lol).

I think the problem was that the sentence had to be a suggestion to see the stars together, but cut off at the end. But the only way to wrtie that in english is with the word "together" at the end of the sentence. And "together" is the important and required bit and the one referenced on the next page.

Your example of "One day, together we could..." Isn't really a suggestion. If you make it one by adding a "Maybe", then you get "Maybe one day, together we could...( see the stars)". But that isn't correct since the "maybe" is now about seeing the stars, rather than seeing them together.

And the "together with who, i wonder..." is obviously meant to be a rhetorical question by Yuu but idk if that line hit as hard as i thought it would lol.

Appreciate your comment though! Idk how eager you are to help, but If you'd like to help out with the translation then that'd be awesome! (But we are being held back by the redraw and typesetting side right now for this manga). Just join the discord at the end. I'll be happy to help you along with translation or just japanese in general if you're interested in this kind of stuff and so would the like 2 of the other active translators lol.
Thanks for the insight on your thought process. It's always interesting to see how these things come about. Since learning a new language it's definitely been interesting (albeit very confusing at times) in how things are interpreted and how they can be said. Trying to learn Japanese has absolutely made me more conscious of things in English that I would never even think about since it's already a natural thing.

I would say that "One day, together we could..." can imply a suggestion, but seeing your thought process I see why you changed it and agree. The "maybe" helps emphasize possibility and having the together at the end helps emphasize the "together" part a lot better. In speech, you can emphasize the "together" part anywhere based on tone and pauses, but that never translates well into text. Yuu's final bubble may have been saying a bit too much though lol.

Appreciate the offer but unfortunately, my "break from work" so to speak will be ending soon and I probably will have to be putting a lot of other hobbies on hold a bit including manga. Thanks for the translations and comment!
