Like, this is an actual professional psyop. The rest of the world is lucky that Ootsuki is confined to the underground tbh - he'd make for an insanely charismatic cult leader otherwise

Weird that we went for such a long stretch - basically the whole series - before we got a chapter that really underlined how scummy Ootsuki and co. can be. Like they could have made this chapter purely heartfelt, Ootsuki could have just thought of doing this as a nice moment for his peers, maybe after seeing that they were down in the dumps. But maybe that would have been too heartfelt for this manga, so they had to give it some edge with the gambling manipulation too lol. At least they weren't cheating at this point, right?
