Yep i was feeling like getting a sundae for myself, you know it makes me wonder why the Japanese obsess so much with whipped cream based desserts when ice cream is so much better

Do they make it different over there? or is it about cutting cost? i think the biggest offender is some of the fruit cakes which are like 90% cream and then some fruits and syrup

Why is Isawa cosplaying as a blacksuit tho?

My guess is because the shop's in Shinjuku it would drive up the prices. Tourists spending their money here would probably be ok for them considering the exchange rate currently

It's the price of milk. The US subsidizes keeping the cost low for everyone while NZ and Aus has their 2 main supermarkets designate loss-leader prices to it. When I was living in Asia they would be charging 2x the price of the milk I could buy back home. I usually ate "milk desserts" there because real ice-cream would bankrupt me

Oh yes, I remember you mentioning this. I believe the cherry blossoms bloomed way ahead of schedule a few weeks ago because of unknown reasons (climate change) 🤔

yeah, we completely misjudged when we'd have to go to see cherry blossoms. oh well, way less crowds this way (although there'll still be crazy crowds lol)

It's the peak tourism season the closer you get to Golden Week iirc. A bit unlucky, but I'm sure the manga could give you some ideas on what to do
