Foreman returns in a two-parter with a behind the scenes look into the manga world.
"Chiba Tetsuya Award", given to up-and-coming artists which has been running for over 40 years now it seems. Judged personally by the creator of "Ashita no Joe"...and he's still alive. After having heart surgery 2 years ago, in fact.

This chapter's got me thinking about the mangaka who've passed away like Berserk creator "Kentaro Miura" and Akira Toriyama. It feels like in their youth they grind away at their craft at the expense of their health, and a lot of them don't live long enough to reap the rewards.

I still hold out hope that NANA gets finished in my lifetime. When was the last chapter, like 10-15 years ago? :(

Imagine your editor, not even the publisher, just the editor, sweeps in and takes 30% of all earnings, Ootsuki you just made Gaben look like a damn saint!

Surprising that the other manga nerd foreman didn't jump in on this opportunity

Love love LOVE the chapters where it's the authors of spinoff venting in canon-appropriate manner xD

I think about that short manga by Mizuki Shigeru a lot when HxH fans make fun of the author for hiatus even tho his back leaves much to be desired, about how exhausted the author of BnHA looks... It's an unforgiving industry for sure
Also somebody please send Gege Akutami on vacation the man's having Jimmy Neutron brain blasts with the way the story's going, haha

Remember to put your health first, people. There is a lot of opportunities, but there's only a singular issue of you to take advantage of them.
And make sure to read Mizuki Shigeru's biography for inspiration

Aw I was reading the last Berserk chapter drawn by Miura, and it's really touching and sums up how difficult but rewarding art is. As for this chapter, I'm curious how this'll end. My guess is they win a smaller award, but Teiai steps in and cancels any rewards they might win.

The premise of treating the maladies of ghosts is a really good one imo, lots of potential... good luck underground manga team!
