Volume 6 is done, thanks for waiting everyone.
These chapters from here on in will have higher picture quality scans. The final title pages on pg-19 and the gag page on pg-20 are also gone. I think it's because these scans come from the "Young Jump" magazine directly instead of coming from the standalone manga paperbacks.

Man... That one panel with their prayers really highlights how pure the trio is compared to Ootsuki. As pure as you can get while being involved with Teiai, really.

Miyamoto, so lonely he has to invite them to his big 30 to have at least someone there, sincerely wishes they'll stay inseparable. Isawa and Numakawa have perfectly pristine wishes the most normal person would have at the temple. And only Ootsuki literally curses all of the other workers trapped in there to fall into his net.

Makes you wonder if his eventual undoing was divine retribution, huh.

Lovely chapter~ I was worried we'd focus so much on the rest stop antics that we wouldn't actually get to see them enjoy their destination, but it was a very appropriate blur of nice memories. Great job with getting to the end of volume 6, excited to see what's next!

It served as a good reminder that Ootsuki is a scumbag too, because you kind of forget by seeing him go around eating and having fun

Yes, what I like about these spinoffs is that even in the most wholesome moments they manage to bonk you over the head with a stark reminder that these people are where they are in the main story for a very good reason that is there for them even when they goof off with tasty food. In Tonegawa it's a bit more apparent, in Ichijou it's present as well, and here you just realize you've been lulled into false comfort - all according to Ootsuki's plan.
