From what I understand, he isn't making stuff up because One was still involved with the story, but that version wandered off into the weeds with all the retcons, to make the action scenes more dramatic.

This is probably what happened. ONE got busy with other projects and encouraged Murata to lean into it being a battle shonen. His heart likely wasn't into having regular OPM chapter releases, so they bloated the it with cool fights. It explains all the redraws, with ONE not having a solid plan for those chapters like he usually does.

I really hate how the fandom is divided into people who think Murata singlehandedly ruined the manga, and people who think the manga is awesome because of the cool fights and powerscaling bs. The manga's writing is all over the place and the reason is ultimately ONE. He is responsible for the writing and isn't some infallible god who transcends human limitations.

The industry's unsustainable expectations and awful working conditions are responsible for both the anime and the manga going to shit. It's why the webcomic has remained consistent. ONE probably planned out everything we're currently seeing years ago, allowing him to tweak it and throw out all the crap that made it into the manga.

Is Genos confirmed to really be a human turned cyborg? Bofoi guessed he was an AI tricked into believing of being human and all his memories were fake.

Kuseno is obviously trying to rile him up here, so anything he said could easily be another lie. Genos will need to get examined by Emperor or someone else to answer the question of who he is.

I get vibes that kuseno might have another agenda behind this whole conquer the world, either that or he actually became fond of genos.

He is yapping too much at genos, it almost seems like the guy is making him mad on purpose or something

He is trying to monsterfy Genos. Remember what Sweet Mask explained last chapter in front of fake Fuzzy, now he is trying to do that to Genos.

Every chapter is peak. I always go through a grieving period after catching up to the latest chapter like: "What am I supposed to do with my life until the next chapter is out?"

Every time this is mentioned someone says "But One and Murata work together on the changes", the issue is I really dont feel much One from most of them, idk I am probably wrong.

I might be wrong but either Murata or ONE confirmed that they don't actually "write together". At most Murata just draws and shows to ONE who doesn't give much input, ever.

neo heroes is not even close to being one of the best arcs

What are, in your opinion, the best arcs of the manga? Can you give me a tier list?
I personally consider OPM arcs as
Saitama goes from being unknown to beating boros (we see the SSS series for the first time, was cool)
Then Garou appears and ends with him being absolutely bullied, and hinting at what might be the final antagonist, the moon man. Saitama becomes known among the strongest heroes, but the general public still doesn't know him.
Then Saitama moves to the new city, and the neos arc starts. On this chapter we can see the hero assosiation giving him A rank number 1 and he rejecting it. So it ends with either he becoming a true S class hero OR abandoning the Hero Association altogether, with the public seeing him only as a legend of what the undomitable human spirit can achieve if we all never give up and keep struggling.
Maybe next arc we'll see Blast trying to recluit him? Or just having a chat with him? I'm interested in Blue personally, and we're about to see the ending of Genos's character growth. I hope he doesn't die this time.

Anyways, I kinda got off topic, didn't I? I'll wait for your tier list too, cheers!

How the manga will adapt this chapter

i will never understand what deathbattle enjoyer thinking putting all that power scale with some of it is cosmic level and then when opm came with literal cosmic character they never accept it. whatever happened the established fact they self-proposed before will not get challenged. i wonder when they will give that up because that kinda talk is pointless in the hands of the author

i prefer to call this arc as genos arc rather than neos arc. all that build up before is for saitama vs genos to happen. and my guess for the next arc is the esper arc or it will be for fubuki or king. there might be a psychic explanation to why king have that much luck.

oh my naming for the arcs is these.
1. introduction arc >> end with the hero association base got attacked
2. the monster arc (saitama the hero vs garou the monster) >> end with the conclusion that the source of the monster problem is from humanity themselves
3. the human arc >> still not end
(the peak potential of human lies in their passion and intelligence)
(saitama the most passionate hero vs genos the peak product of the most intelligent human)
4. the superhuman arc >> just a guess
(normal human and the superhuman, the esper)
(i hope mob psycho 100 concept got talked about in this)
