With only 2 chapters so far, it's cute but hard to tell where it will go. If he stays friendzoned forever and she cavorts with other guys, it will be frustrating and hard to keep reading. If it really does stay light-hearted and devoid of the usual teenage angsty drama, then that would be great. However, if they don't actually eventually end up together, it will have been a waste of time to read.

The thing I don't understand about this genre of series (best friends can't be lovers) is why can't they be lovers as well as best friends? If you look at marriages that have lasted a very, very long time (we're talking decades here), you will find that the partners are, indeed, best friends. If they start dating and their friendship turns sour, that only means that they weren't best friends to begin with.
