I think the thing that gets me,
Is that his childhood friend has been antagonistic toward him before now. And he's just.....not doing anything about it, nor is he acting cautious around her up until her grandmother tries to lock him in a coffin for eternity.
And he's gonna just forgive her and her family like they didn't try to murder him and his entire bloodline, because................I'm sure it'll be some dumbass reason contrived in "but I have to take her panties off too".
I realize it's a stupid ecchi haremslop story built around the flimsiest of reasons so that a boy can take off a bunch of girls' underwear in lewd situations. But the lack of critical thinking on how, if his very existence were being threatened by someone, he simply chooses to do nothing to preserve himself or fight back against them, beggars belief.

He should be putting Akari in the ground. Not taking drinks from her and forever acting like she's not trying to kill him and that he shouldn't simply put a knife between her ribs, or something. Strip her afterward if the lewd stuff is that important, but c'mon, man.

If nothing else, I hope he never talks to her again at the end of this and cuts her out of his life after neutering her family's power/influence, at the bare minimum.

Sorry but saying that they were telling the truth after everything that has happened so far is a total retcon, and then the technique to not let the miasma take him over is to transfer the miasma to them anyway? Surely that means they should be cooperative and also have their own understanding for the ritual. This whole situation is just whatever the author wants to happen because it doesn't follow either the story so far, or even its own logic.

Nah, even slop needs to have a degree of realism on its own, not necessarily realism in the situations but in how people act, otherwise any immersion gets ruined, or even if it isn't immersive, the experience of the story will get ruined if the way people are behaving makes 0 sense. So far it has been fine because the stakes haven't been that high but after this there really do need to be some repercussions.
