He hasn't really done anything bad, but he's very narcissistic, to an almost absurd degree. So he's just a character whose dialogue is always annoying to read through. It often feels like comedic relief though, which helps.
Anyway, best way to get revenge here is to use the spray on him. Do it, Yoil. We're all curious to see what would happen.

Man, could've all been avoided if they made sanghyun go away for a long time with some "oh, he went to America and won't be in contact" kinda excuse. Just use the bathbomb and no need for the perfume spam.
this chapter way less terrible than I what i've heard from the koreans. I didn't actually expect Gongwon to be the first one to know MC's secret tho. With how light the story's tone is and how harmless he was portrayed in the stairs scene (literally as a little boy) I kinda doubt he will use this secret for bad stuff or anything since the whole time gongwon seemed pretty reasonable , hell he even suppressed his hornball self and did some self introspection for once. He'd make a pretty good confidant for Han Yoil with how he's written, even lowkey kinda smart with the calling kim sangyun(?)/recording it. didn't expect that dumbass would think that far. Dunno why MC would need to punch him though, I guess the manwha needs conflict.
I do have a soft spot for gongwon tho, I trust that he won't blackmail or anything of the sort. He's so annoying it loops back around to being endearing to me, doesn't help that he's self-conscious and so brazen with his peculiarities. I guess he's an implementation of those "brat" archetypes that often comes up in romcom/harem works, but without any weird horny undertones. just a sleazeball I guess.
also, Wonjin delivering hard truths to bitcha is fucking hilarious tho. Nice to see the bitch cut down a peg.

Only a person as dumb as Gongwon is would seriously come to the conclusion that this is a body or gender swapping situation.

fr, the romance bits scattered around is so great and well-executed you'd forget that this manga is focused on MC's progression to be a better idol. I doubt we'd see much more romance beyond Iruha and (probably in the far flung future) So-ae (hopefully) but more so MC's progression to have a fulfilled and happy Idol life and the friendships and i'm super happy with that.
Exactly! He's the sorta guy that the director woman would have to make do with if she hadn't lucked out on getting such a skilled and hard-working lead on her first bath-bomb experiment. If Gongwon was the ugly MC that got turned into such a bombshell all those rumours and scorn on her only having connections and looks would hit hard with no skills to back it up. Not having him in the story would be very detrimental as it would give no weight to all the MC's hard-work to compare to.
following korean reincarnation logic, there's no knowing what your past self was before. Whether it be even human in the first place or the appearance. The guy in the intro got turned into a dog for one.

I don't actually hate Gongwon or feel annoyed with him at all. I don't know why, but I think it's because some of our personality traits are very similar. For example, he hates it when people overdo things to the point of hurting their bodies, and I feel the same way. Luckily, I don't have his narcissistic traits.
