It feels really good to see Suryeon slowly begin to unravel at the seams from the prospect of her idol spot being taken by the MC. A shame that she has to take it out on poor Hyojeong tho "-", poor girl doesn't deserve being done dirty like that, you can see her trying and failing at grasping what Suryeon's ramblings even mean. Her face doesn't even look offended.

My view on it is that she hates the MC for being her suddenly becoming her main rival out of the blue out of what she perceives through sheer beauty, fucking with her chances of getting into the debut group. I guess she also hates to a lesser extent those she sees as weak, like the old trainee Hyojeong, Dabi and such. there's no pleasing this girl bruh.

Looks like all the pressure she has put on herself (Ruha's remarks, Wonjin's criticisms, and her eating disorder) is taking a toll on her tho, both mentally and physically. She doesn't have much time on this world, sooner than later an engine on overdrive is going to spall out. also neat to see how she sees MC as a nepobaby (not completely without merit) put into words, and how her personality and worldview is presented here. You can feel it from the past subtexts but it's nice to see her state it out like that. a really good foil to the MC, can't wait for her downfall.

Y'know, thinking about how Suryeon is a good foil to MC. there's a lot of good foil to the MC in this story... Gongwon being the inverse of MC looks and skills wise, Ruha being a reminder or an example on what happens if MC strays too much onto her stage persona, and lastly. BitchA having the same determination and effort as MC but different ways of going about it (i.e being a bitch about it). For instance, the monthly evaluation arc Suryeon fully assumes the imitation of Ruha's persona which is how she managed third place on the ranking compared to MC who faltered last seconds. BitchA was noted to have had a different (possibly nicer?) personality before rumors of Ruha retiring and the corpo looking for a replacement hit, which is when her demeanor changed. Poor gal is repeating ruha's mistake beat by beat.

So-ae bros are eating good btw, all iruha-bros are getting is a one panel flashback lmao. Come on So-ae, spit it out already! I wanna see MC's reaction on how much of a positive impact Male!MC had on So-ae's background.

While not directly addressing them thus far, I'm glad that Geukjang keeps bringing up things like how little idols eat (given how physically intensive their work is) and how young some idols are (which can be really bad for them).

Do wonder what's going to happen with Hyojeung. We've never really gotten much to think about with her despite how omnipresent she is. She just seemed like this uncomplicated nice person living an increasingly doomed existence.
Hope she gets some spark back in her, but given how realistically this series deals with stuff like this there probably won't be a happy ending for her. At least not in the idol life.
