Heh, guy tried to hypnotize Onikirimaru's girl..doesn't work. Also not sure if Highlander influenced it..don't see Onikirimaru just going for headshots.

Of course it was just a theory. As I wrote mangaka have always been inspired by Hollywood movies, american comics and books in the past (Dragon Ball Z for example was influenced by Superman). Motorball in Alita is basically Rollerball from the 1975 movie. It's not always 100% identical to the source of inspiration, It can be 10%, or even less.
