Didn't expect this to be as interesting as it is. I like how it doesn't really dump exposition, rather everything is told seamlessly through dialogue and plot. The world seems to have a lot of background lore which makes the world feel alive, ironically enough

Same here, the framing and pacing really reminded me of it. Or maybe a common reading as i felt Nihei was quite inspired by some of Métal Hurlant/Heavy Metal comics.

So far, it's been honestly really good, painted with a nice mistery and exposition that truly outsmarts a lot of the isekai genre.
