① Aren't we all expected to guess (at this point) that it was all in his head while Hazuki never intended to challenge him like that?

② Doesn't it greatly contradict the sixth page of the 14th chapter where the same character thinks “there are eight in this room, but I can't use them” about the same pack of condoms and then an image of Hazuki immediately says “No! 🙅🏼‍♀️” in his head? So, has he been successful in brainwashing himself and coming to the exact opposite conclusion eventually?
