The entire story rellies on the characters being brain dead to work.

Aight my totally unrealistic theory on what will happen: MC is gonna come clean to wolf-Senpai, she’s going to be understandably hurt and push him away, MC will fall back on this girl and they’ll begin dating, Wolf-Senpai is hurt but ultimately moves on and they eventually end the series as vitriolic friends.

Why? Because it would piss off statistically the largest amount of people. MC wouldn’t end up with Wolf-Senpai due to his lie, but still gets a happy ending and isn’t meaningfully punishes which would piss off both the ProMCxSenpai camp and the AntiMCxSenpai camp, Wolf-Senpai who is ultimately the victim in this would end up alone which would piss off all her fans, and folks who care about the two lead’s chemistry would be pissed because the series would shift to focus on a different girl who no one REALLY has any strong attachment to (source: she was in the chapter and I don’t even remember her name)

The perfect storm of bad outcomes without having a “bad end”
