Hello, I am a beginner mangaka that is looking to create my first manga or in the future...mangas. I know this will be a tough journey but I hope to not disappoint future fans lol. So I wanted to start off by asking if these ideas that I wrote down will be a good idea to make a manga. All honesty, criticism, and advice are welcomed to this thread. Here we gooooo!!!

Manga Plot Ideas:
1. Manny and his best friend lucky stumble upon a cosmic power that grants them super abilities to stop evil that descends upon Earth.
2. A deadly ninja must take the lives of his most dangerous adversaries to avenge the death of his clan with a new mystical power.
3. A Highly Intelligent alien weapon suite harbored in a meteor ship, makes its way to earth and accidentally bonds with a boy named Kuji Sakamoto.

I would love to hear from all of you.

I'll be honest with you the second idea sound kind of cliche. Is there any twist or unique aspect that make the story different?

The first two are uber common plots, so considering people usually consume slop on a daily basis, they should work.
Imo the second one has more potential than the first one, since it should be more intense and less "power of friendship" than the first one, but that's just based on my preferences. I guess the first one should work better, as this kind of mild tension writing is pretty popular.

The third one you didn't give it any clear goal, like stopping evil descending upon Earth or avenging family for example, so you could make basically anything with it, it would all depend on your writing skills and creativity to make it work.
Or I could understand it as no clear goals equals slice of life, in that case it should also work just fine, as this genre is very popular nowadays. Though it resembles Kiseijuu a lot from just this sentence, you can still make something totally different, it will be up to your creativity.

I at first misread take the lives of as "take the lives on", as in, the ninja would need to steal the identities of his enemies, either as some sport of spiritual journey or spy thriller type stuff.
The ideas themselves ain't that unique otherwise, but it would be easy to do, with the formulas already there, so maybe not a bad choice for a starting manga.

Disclaimer: not a mangaka. I do, however, have a BA in music composition from a couple decades ago, so I have some first-hand insight into the creative process, and seeing works through from conception to completion.

START SMALL. Come up with a one-shot idea that runs 10-20 pages at most, draft it out to make sure you're not going to run way over that, and see the project through to completion, rather than trying to tackle an enormous open-ended world right from the start. One possible route for that - take one of the ideas you have and do a minor/NPC character interaction with one incident in that plot - just a snapshot of one moment in the big arc of that story, told from the viewpoint of someone who briefly interacts with it. This gets you a manageable sized project to tackle, with a realistic end product, and lets you then step back and ask 'what worked well, and what do I need to practice to do better on next time.' Do a couple of these, and get a feel for what you enjoy and what your strengths are, and then move on to a larger, multi-chapter project.

This also gets you a certain sense of accomplishment by having a couple of completed small works in your portfolio.

"SonOtaku" try something like a 5-page or a oneshot with easy stuff, like an apartment and 2-5 characters.
