Just what I thought. MC is such a dense character, too many holes.

MC is literally just a paper cutout with 'past' written on it.. He does no thinking past that in the entire story, he's not really gotten much stronger and he isn't really trying to think about anything happening around him, just constantly reacting with a surprised Pikachu Face.
They also tried showing him as super broken and filled with hate in the beginning, but now he's acting like a Elementary School Boy in most scenarios.
In the beginning you could've thought the 'He tells everyone about his second Life' is unique, but it's really just used as excuse for him to do no actual thinking in the present and just say 'That's not how it happened' and everyone else has gotten independent through that, so to say the story would be the same without him (MC isn't even needed at this point).
