i feel that it could have been better to edit that curse instead. In a way to absorb life energy from attackers only or even transfer said energy to user.
What would happen if he edited the enemy to give it "curse of damage negation" or something like that, where it takes the value of the attack and multiplies it by 0, thus, no damage is dealt? Would it cost too much?

Looking at chapter 1, the tuition fee for his school was 30,000 (only nobles can afford this apparently). Then this random store is putting this 2-billion-worth shield on display like it was nothing? A crappy wooden shield costing 200k? What the hell is going on?

Not sure how it works in this world, but I can imagine a "floor" that shuts its entrance once you enter it until cleared. That would be troublesome while fully exhausted.
Why not touch up master who's chained for some LP... I bet she'd even approve of it as she is aware of the skill. Just removing the curse also seems like a cop out, why not edit it to give like regen...
