To be fair, seeing naked chest vs naked butt are like from level 1 to level 5. I too would be stunned. And then there is level 10 of nude beaches in EU. A total culture shock.

Honestly, I can't tell if the author is trying to convey Akira as confused as to who and/or which gender she likes (poorly IMO) or if the author themselves haven't decided and are gauging reader's reactions. It feels like it alternates between Rumi and Sahara making her feel nervous/bashful rather than both doing making her feel that way. I wish it was better handled, and I honestly can't wait for Akira to sort out her romantic feelings as a whole... Team Rumi btw. :smugnako:

There's no version of teenage feelings that is more legit than others. Some have a very easy time sorting it out, others fully reach adulthood and are still unclear, or even wake up every day feeling different.
Though is the author playing to both Rumi and Shouma fans? Yeah for sure. I'm sure they've had a plan for it from the beginning, but likely it will be a teeter-totter until near the end of the series. It is classic romance storytelling on two counts: love triangle is the trope-iest of tropes, and reader interest in series generally drops after romantic resolution.

Oh, I'm good with love triangles and teens trying to sort feelings. Maybe I didn't get my meaning across. It doesn't feel like Akira might like both at the same time; it feels like Akira might like one of them in a chapter. Like last chapter when Rumi was grabbing all over Akira, there was no reaction suggesting possible feelings like in chapter 46. Rather than it feeling like Akira's got messy teenage emotions, it feels like there are distinct points where Akira feels one way or another. Maybe a part of that is because this is a more Shouma-focused arc? I'm not sure.

Hopefully that makes what I mean a bit more clear. You are right though about how difficult sorting feelings out can be as well as how long it can take to figure things out!

Akira seems to still be trying to figure out how much of what they felt the night of the fireworks show was due to the atmosphere and how much was due to feelings for Sahara. I'm personally betting its more towards the atmosphere, even when they were close to accepting Sahara's confession, Akira's inner monologue didn't really paint a picture of loving the guy. My opinion is they're ticked because the whole event made Akira feel like a special girl and it was super hard for them to reject them and now they see him seemingly having casually moved on so soon.
