True. While this works because it's fiction and their troubles might be fixed with direct communication, irl is much more complicated. Cheating, chronic disrespect and abandonment are deal breakers and should NOT be tolerated let alone reconciled, imo. You also have to deal with the possibility of being love bombed as a manipulation tactic.

Not even just being uncooperative. Sometimes they're outright hostile, disrespectful or worse planning a betrayal in secret to blindside you. To say nothing of the other deal breakers like cheating and abandonment.
