Now that you mention it, the end of the chapter feels extremely similar to what happens on liar-liar (at least from what I remember of the anime ep. 1) Like seriously the girl has basically the same statement from what the one form liar-liar has, where they're like undefeated top notch of the school and then they will be defeated by like complete accident or some other type of divine intervention or something and the mc will win and the girl will get super mad.
