Yeah it was explained around the time that they were introduced that they were at odds with each other and it was down to a lack of communication if I remember right . When they settled their issues they came to live in the countryside if I recall the events of the story correctly

iirc they were genuinely millimetres from divorce when they were introduced. reread the earlier (before 40 i think) chapters if you wanna remind yourself of how they were at first.
