Usually the sign of the end of a manga when only 10 chapters in they run out ideas for the MC’s to have them interact and not only start bringing in love rivals, but the tired aggressive lesbian stereotype (because they don’t want to intro a male rival that might make us question why our MC has the FMC’s interest at all). Let’s see if it’s got more in the tank, because usually this is a very bad omen for things to come.

If the lottery girl ended up becoming a regular I will also come to a shrine like Komukai and spend 100$ to pray for the author to get the ballbusting experience of a testicular torsion.

Like so many things different to me about the Japanese school system...That one's desk and one's seat are not the same thing.

Well less stereotypical than making it a harem. That's what 90% of these manga do.

Honestly those are usually the two options tough, neither is worse than the other. If the story has the ML be the dominant one, you introduce a harem, if the FL is the dominant character, you introduce the aggressive lesbian (again because having male love rivals would upset too many readers). Either way, it's usually a strong sign of creative bankruptcy and a jumping of sharks.
