I just noticed that the MAL tags on this one are:

Genres: Comedy, Romance
Themes: Love Status Quo, School
Demographic: Seinen

These are the same tags as Kubo. Love Status Quo usually means the romance is there at the start and will not meaningfully progress until it is resolved (if it is) at the very end.
