Man. The idol business in Japan just keeps looking more and more fucked. They should just come over here to America where they aren’t controlled by their incel fans and at least have SOME free will.
It has been a rising trend among various japanese media to call out how fucked up their idol industry is at it's core.

Something tells me that "smoke" has a real "fire" from which it came from.

Screams of hatred, obsessive envy and unironic death wishes...oh, what a realistic depiction of youth friendship... On a more serious note, Aqua clearly should have taken care of the mental stability of the women around him a long time ago.

I don't think this is a good idea, American show business is no less fucked up, just in a different way. Not to mention that the industry in almost every country tends to target female celebrities for "incel fans" and other simps, because the more obsessed you can make a fan, the more money he will make you. Ask any streamers on Twitch and OnlyFans.

Ahh, behind that light is always dark. Idols can smile in front of the camera, fans, coworkers, and many others, but in front of them on reflection is always suffering for killing their real personality.

But it's not idol only, the majority of all adults will be the same as that. It's just we have a room to free ourselves.

yeah, in America they just have to sleep with their managers and get locked up in mental institutions 🙃
Not only in America. In the 00s, one Korean actress committed suicide and described in her suicide note how her manager forced her to provide sexual services to producers and officials. Also, that fresh scandal with harassment of VAs in “private meetings” with producers of upcoming anime. In general, show business is pretty full of crap if you're a woman.

We don’t have idols here is my point, we have celebrities. And they don’t need to do any of the stuff you just mentioned. Except for maybe Kanye west because he is a bit crazy
N-sync, Backstreetboys, B Spears, not sure about all the ones that didn't make it big or others that never got bad thing happen to them and/or just choose to never let it get public.

truth is, those industries would always have the darker sides unknown to the public. not just 'idol' portions, even actors, business/investor/producers, etc all over the globe.

All those you listed are basically pre-2000s groups. In the current age of electronics, it is MUCH harder to manipulate talent. The only real bad shit that happens now in America is legal stuff like record labels feeding off their singers profit way too much (just go independent) or the actors/writers being underpaid. You can’t really do anything illegal to famous people and get away with it now that there are cameras literally everywhere.

This “trend” has existed for several decades. For example, if I'm not confusing anything, the creator of Persona absolutely hates the idol industry and regularly inserts criticism of it into all of his games.

Not just women...
Including. It’s just that at the moment simping is considered as the simplest scheme for excess income. For some reason, thousands or even hundreds of thousands of men are completely unaware that in the modern world it is easier to find free porn than paid one.

Have you heard about that recent scandal with Lizzo? Or about Ellen DeGeneres? Feud of Depp and Heard? It would be naive to think that Western show business became a holy place after Wenstein was put behind bars.

Are you sure about that....? pride and financial benefits do a lot to people's rational decision making.... again, what they 'choose' to reveal to the public is never the whole truth. NDA's are very troublesome and in America, the rich rarely gets their shit publicly exposed until after they are condemned like Epstein, Weinstein.

Do you believe everything the media says even? with deepfakes, ai, photoshop everywhere nowadays.

Those are stuff the people themselves did not the industry. Im talkin bout the industry.
These people are also part of the industry. Lizzo and Ellen abused their employees, for example. I’m not even talking about how easily people now lose their jobs and huge contracts at any hint of scandal. One voice actor remained unemployed with a ruined reputation even after he proved in court that the harassment allegations against him were deliberate slander and personal hate and he was cleared of all charges. I'm not talking about Vic, if anything. The point is not that American show business is hell on Earth or that Japanese is better, the problem is in all show business as such.
