A truly terrible person will never ever realize the bad things she's done. Admittance is always the first step to recovery. She knows she's horrible and she's been beating herself up inside over it. But I admire the honesty she showed this time. She's on the way to becoming a better girl.

"What is wrong with your taste in women?"
"I agree with you there. My taste in women must be pretty bad if I fell for a pain in the ass girl like you."
The overflowing honesty in this chapter is completely unbecoming of typical romcoms, this is illegal, I tell you!

"I couldn't abandon you, couldn't leave you on your own when you needed help" :chad:
My man. Shouma's steadfast dedication to his love resulted in a very satisfying payoff. Some may call him a simp, but he wins her over after all. I knew he could do it, I believed in him. He won.

Damn, that was sweet.

Oshibana/Intermission part 3 when? Already in the works, I see. Gonna look forward to that.

So pretty much from what i can see these two are the main couple and the other two are just side characters lol. I feel like its been forever since we got a chapter that focused on the " so called main couple". At this rate it seem like the series is gonna flip.

Every shoujo manga ever?
didn't read many shoujo since most of them have very rough faces that look like they were sculpted with an axe or something. but lotsa shonen/seinen have fmc's like that too and oshibana is part of the seinen demographic according to baka updates.

These side characters feels like what a teenage girl would think a "adult" relationship would be like. A little pain, a little sex, and a happy ending with half baked "conflict" as a spice because the girl was never in any real danger and the boy has a bit of a mean streak but is a true gentlemen. No thx
1. they are teenagers so ??
2. this makes no sense as hachiouji was never portrayed as a "bad boy", he's a genuinely nice guy, so yeah, she's not in any danger, in fact at this point in the story she's more of a danger for him than otherwise

lmao

1. I said "this is what a teenager THINKS an Adult relationship would be like." I'm talking about the author because the characters aren't even written like teenagers because when she asked if all he wanted to do was fuck her, the answer should have been "yes". This is a plot line where a girl gets to act as horrible as she wants with someone who unconditionally loves her and protects her, just because. Teenagers wouldn't be this introspective, or understanding, if this was really written from that point of view, this relationship would have failed by now like they said earlier.

2. That's what I said. He's a a nice guys who's just a little mean (rude, blunt, ect.) There was no danger so there was no real conflict in the relationship. The girl was safe and the boy was practical enough to understand the situation he was in. They were going to end up together so everything felt forces.

If you want to read trashy, toxic relationships work out or at all, more power to you, but that's not what I started reading this story for. To be honest, this author always writes like this but at least in their other stories, the stating pair is already going out most of the time.

there doesn't need to be danger for there to be conflict in a relationship lmao, the conflict is that she started off by not liking him, and now that she's started to like him she doesn't want him to hear her saying what she said when she was just lashing out at oota, which he already knows so they patched things up immediately after

anyway you sound mad cause the side couple is taking front stage which is reasonable criticism considering what this story is about, so w/e move on

I said there was no real conflict. I mean that for their relationship, there wasn't any conflict that mattered because whether they got together or not, neither would really lose anything. But the relationship is shallow because even together neither felt like they gained anything. This girl has this entire arc of drowning in her own self destructive pity, and the only growth she got out of it is being just a little honest with her feelings. It feels more like she just replaced one love with another than actually growing as a person.

I think its very obvious that I didn't like the focus change but if these characters were at least interesting to me I wouldn't have cared as much. And I did move on, you replied to me; regurgitating points I've clearly written out, but maybe I wasn't clear enough.
