Why is the English name suggested as Pressed Flower?

(Oshi for push/press(from oshimasu) and bana for flower(from hana))?

I always that it was for "geeking out about your oshi" like how fans stan their idol together...

(Oshi for idol and bana for talk(from hanashi))

Or is it like an official translation with some summary?

It's a pun with double meaning. Oshibana is literally the word for the artform/craft of pressed flowers in Japanese. This is also as far as I know as "official" of a translation as it gets since the unofficial doujin on DLSite went with "Pressed Flower / Intermission" although I'm not sure if DLSite staff or the author decided on that one (it wasn't me).

I think your interpretation for the second meaning is correct, but I have no official basis for it. I kept the MangaDex entry as "Oshibana!" for this reason since "Pressed Flower" removes the double entendre.
