I am more and more convinced that their ninja villages, or at least Tae's own village, can only be accessed from an anomalous entrance/site. Modern world and their era intersecting at a specific location.
Or, at least the immediate area/region surrounding Tae's village is in a pocket dimension and truly hidden, but also cutting it off from the modern world.

So, it seems we have several plot threads being setup.
1. Office drama with MC and the short midget manager.
2. Highschool shenanigans with Tae.
3. Tae's granpa the ultimate ninja and his worries about his unwed grand-daughter.
4. Why Kouga ninja seems... a bit supernatural compared to somewhat generic portrayal of Iga ninjas. And the state of their apparently isolated village. Is there a lot more going on? Why the information supression inside Kouga village?
