The guy was saying how much he wanted them in the last chapter. She's... Uh... Giving him what he says he desires so much? I can't tell if it's some twisted "making up for wronging him" or... I dunno, sometimes it's like she is warming up to him and sometimes not... And their interactions don't really explain why...

The whole dynamic is a mess. Something is very weird with the girl's behavior.

Yeah, she's extra weird. Maybe she's coming back to him and indulging him because he's the only one in the same situation as her? Here for instance, other adventurers might see killing monsters and sometimes dying to them to just be the usual, but its a shock to her and she needs to talk to someone who understands that. But, to make sure he doesn't just ignore her, she figured she'd gift him something he's interested in, her underwear.

Well to be fair, he's weird too but he's somewhat following tropes of a pervert. I'm just surprised he wasn't rejuvenated.

I think it's just that they're being shoehorned as a couple and there's no way to make that come about in a realistic way, so she's bringing him her panties because fuck it there's no proper plan for the plot here. I mean the demon king is apparently not even around.

Honestly, that's what I think is going on too. The behaviors don't seem natural at all.

He deserved both times she hit him. TBF, she didn't hit him hard enough. This is being written by an author with questionable standards.

I'm reading this for now, on the off chance the writer is actually planning this as a redemption story. But this 'gift' made this possibility much less likely.

EDIT: because I kept thinking about it, and realized the possibility that she thinks she needs this 'gift' to bribe him into accepting her back or something. Still dumb, but at least it's the kind of dumb that his actions may have inspired her to believe. This is pretty weak, but I could allow the writer this much if we improve from here.

Yo this chick is also really weird. Now I'm starting to think she might have an old guy fetish or had some one sided crush on him for some reason and that whole deal on the train was to get his attention. Also flirting with him in CH 2 when she took his tie. Almost seemed like the manga was trying to imply she was lying when he asked if she knew him and she said no in CH 1. Then she gifts him her underwear? Who does that? Either there's something deeper going on here or I'm reading way too much into a dumb horny manga. I think its 80% chance it's the second.

Yeah, he gets away with a lot. If it was any other manga, he'd get accused of being a perv for something far less severe or even unintentional and no woman would feel comfortable around him since. It would kinda make sense for her to just barely tolerate him because she has nobody else to rely on, but she's way too casual about it.

I'm guessing that Lead is probably going to try and enslave her somehow or end up leaving her as a sacrifice for the party now that his slave was killed in the dungeon.

As for the whole "gift" thing, he was all over her at the changing rooms before and she just saw someone die right in front of her so is probably a bit in shock. That and there are hints that she knows him more than she is letting on and the old guy doesn't remember her at all.

Also, if I remember correctly I think I heard that those omamori from women to men at war were usually their hair or something along those lines. Could be mistaking it though.

You're not mistaken. It was supposedly a very particular type of hair though, as in "not from her head".
