Robert Indiana spotted. Normally I like seeing art references in my manga, but not when it's the bland/mass producible stuff like Indiana. His famous LOVE sculpture just screams "commodity!" because it exists in dozens of cities, and in thousands of gift shops. It's the kind of art object that has destroyed its Aura to become commonplace, sort of a reverse Warhol. This is what Walther Benjamin warned us about.

And perhaps that is the point? Our guy has not experience love, outside of reproductions of the real thing. Love for sale, cheapened emotions, or shoujo love reduction- not the kind of impact you'd want in your manga. Fix the manuscript!

Dude’s thinking too hard. All he has to do is read GSNK. He’ll understand everything there is to know about love.

Editor advice seems odd. Not really sure if its realistic or just there for the plot line. Could probably make romance just by observing other manga and It doesn't really need romance just to be interesting.

Gareth is best dog girl NGL.

Honestly I think the best thing you could do for your quality at this point is to clean those f@ing raw watermarks where they're over white background, just like cleaning text. You don't need to RD when they're actually over art, just when they're over white backgrounds. And don't feel bad about it, they stole the raws too and slapped their watermarks on them - twice!

Editors words seem fake'n gay.
Majority of times i see romance in manga it's cringy, fantasy that only remotely resembles real romance.

OHH and the mood thing? And men not understanding women? Women don't understand men as much as we don't understand them if not worse. Because men usually are in the MOOD women think they are "master" of creating a mood.
My experience though says otherwise, especially when i got a bit older and my libido calmed down. I often times noticed that women suck at "mood" creation, i even gotten the reverse happened a few times.

And to be perfectly honest most people can't even create their own mood (any kind of mood not only erotic or romantic).
Try to create any positive mood while you have crippling hangover or you have intrusive thoughts about failing a project. And now imagine your partner bouncing up and down creating cringe like situations in order to get you into any positive mood (more headache).
Maturity in this situation is to smile and convey to them you are okay but you need space.
What usually happens men become emotionless stone walls and women become bitchy harpies. Then the party that tried to improve the mood get's also sour and TADA both grow resentful.
