Tbh, I'm hoping someone else, right up his alley appears at school to really make her sweat for it. (It's not that I don't like Asuka, I just don't like the pairing but accepted its gonna happen :/ )

That or someone takes an interest in and then tries to pursue Asuka, give her a bit of the ol' harassment!

Kei wouldn't have done it, so that "better option" is just null talk. Asuka did pretty much everything she could have done to make her case clear to Kei. Now it's up to Kei to figure things out for himself. Perhaps Asuka will still try her best to not allow Kei to have second thoughts (revert back to viewing Asuka in a sister like fashion only).
