If anyone's confused, it appears that the actual main story is only chapters 1-4. The other chapters as of the time of this comment (5 and 6) are collections of random stories from all over the timeline, before and after her accident and not necessarily in sequence or anything.

That's why it seems weird that you get the main story, it suddenly resolves even though there's chapters after that, and then it's completely all over the place with no explanation and the chapters are a series of vignettes instead of one plot from start to finish.
