This last chapter is pure gold. Nothing "special" happened, just an usual everyday life which is special in itself. I love this manga and it will be one of my most favorite manga forever. Thank you so much, Author-san.
(But got to see Fuyu's smile is also special)

Well that was disappointment - after such sweet yuri chapter 17 it rolls back to the usual boring slice of life, that was in previous 16 chapters. Meh. Well, the drawning was the only thing that kept me here reading it, so - farewell. I was hoping for some nice "yuri couple after the years" final, especially when author knew that it was the last chapter but... well everyone can dream right? To bad that it was only my dream (but I already notice this from the beginning of the manga - that author don't know how to write the story, even - what her story is about, only how to draw cute pictures - and at this she is great, can't argue).

why would you read a manga that literally named itself Tsurezure Biyori and expect anything other than slice-of-life goodness? There are plenty of other angst-filled yuri, coming-of-age yuri, and steamy-sexy yuri out there for you to enjoy.

The author said she didn't know how to continue the story so she decided to just end it, even against her editor wishes and despite the increase in popularity of the manga. This is an absolute disgrace and lack of professionalism and respect. I was gonna support the English release, but not anymore after this bs.

@Xaelath thanks for the answer...and a big WTF from me.
Two major issues:
- author decides to close the serie, doesn’t give a finale. It’s literally a road that interrupts abruptly.
- I’m wondering what an author who got rushed or axed would think about this decision.

@ciaooo is right, totally lack of professionalism here


EDIT : also @tickub it’s legit to want more because author him/herself mixed in the love story and didn’t stick to pure SoL

I enjoyed this series. Hopefully, the author comes back to this with some more ideas, but I'm happier that it ended on a happy note instead of writing more chapters for the sake of having more chapters.

Tbh, I think this is better than what the author of a certain gal manga did.

I feel that it should have ended with Ch.17 - this doesn't do much for the story and to end it like that is just... odd.

You guys gotta also see that the author is at her first serialised manga and she has huge potential, that's why she got the okay to begin with, but also was doing mainly bandori fan art for the most part so she's probably not that great at story telling.
A veteran author would have spread chapter 17 in 2-3 volumes while she went with the flow (my assuption) and realised that her sol manga went too much far from the original path and that two of the main cast couldn't be their past selves to themselves and also in front of others without the other girls noticing that something has happened between them.

So instead of making fun of readers' intelligence she admitted that she is still not ready for a serialised manga and decided to end the series.
I'm sure she also feels bad about this.

I hope that in a couple of years she can get confident enough to try again writing a manga or can find an author good at writing her manga since she's great at drawing.
