Even with the brief groping the comedy tag still seems a bit outta place but i suppose if diff timeline exists maybe that's why that one girl hides her face (how has no teacher confiscated it from her/forced her to go to school without it then again i guess there is no logic in this world even more so in Asobi)

The one they traveled to was not the Asobi timeline.
In the one they traveled to, Tsutsuji was no longer friends with them since "the incident" when they were 2nd years, whereas in the Asobi worldline they were still friends. Also the Asobi one had Tsutsuji handcuffed in the room with them during the incident, and the exit was jammed. So it was at least an entirely new worldline than the original.

There are some things i can't figure out though. Like whether Neru's dream worldline took place in junior high or highschool. Penpen refers to "2nd year" in past tense and the clubroom looks similar to the highschool one, but Neru was trying to look for the old school building out the window, which i thought was located on the junior high campus. Maybe the junior high and highschool share a campus though, idk.

There's also Tsutsuji's dream, which takes place in highschool, but she and Neru seemed to still be on good terms (unlike the worldline penpen and Neru visited), which makes me wonder if that dream worldline was from a different worldline than the others. It can't really take place prior to them, since Penpen's dream wordline took place in the 2nd year of junior high during the incident. I thought MyuMyu was implying they all ended up in the same worldline with her line "so the three from that day", but maybe she just meant the three she observed that day, and not necessarily saw in the same worldline.

The author is making another series right now, but with heavier use of 3D models since they injured their shoulder. They said in the same announcement that they were going to finish volume 3 soon, but wanted to make sure they could do satisfyingly

Thank you for info. I wonder if she started to use 3d models because of health problems or it's just coincidence. I mean this spinoff is already 2d\3d hybrid but it started long before hiatus.
