Well. That felt rushed. At least it was less confusing then the last few chapters. Feels like the author wanted to write a novel instead of a manga.

Also, didn't the bird lady disappear after the last "battle"? Why shes there at the end?

Its rushed more than likely do to an axe. This probably was not doing too well and they needed to wrap it up before exploring everything they wanted to with the series. It sucks but I'm glad it got to end at the very least.

Overall I had a good time and it was a better read than most mangas with longer runtimes. I wish I could have got to seen more of this story and that it got the love I think it deserved. Hope the author gets another one off the ground I will look forward to reading it!

Manga gets the axe, author goes on & makes an rushed ending, but one that will make them regret giving him the axe.

Shit's too beatiful man.
I've been struggling to follow this since the time skip; I've got the general idea but mind breaking down this last arc for me?

Messy start, very loose plot, I like the art but it makes action scenes hard to follow.
This is one of those manga were I am very sad it got axed beause it was so good, but I also know exactly why it did.

I guess that time skip arc was when the Axe got announced, it was hot on an ending of another arc (The Teacher that Ran Away Arc) which now I feel that it was kinda rushed in its ending.

The time skip was because one of the top guys from the Public Security side had a precog that showed that if things stayed as they are with Takahashi & co. fighting Owari would have been beaten & sealed again, which in turn 3000 years later he would get out and slaughter mankind anyway so for it to avoid that future he had to gamble everything on Owari getting all his power so Takahashi could get to peak power and ultimately destroy Owari completely.

This resulted in Owari practically destroying the world, save some pockets of humans, Takahashi getting his powerup offscreen, while getting explained that Takahashi already died once and was saved by the freaky looking crow, thus got some sort of "Zenkai Boost", which means that everytime he gets near death his powers grow significantly which is why he encountered as many demons every time. Part of the vision was that once Takahashi faced Owari, both of them would die, which in some way it became true, thus Takahashi arrived after everyone thought he was dead.

I enjoyed this series. I would have liked if there was more slice of life aspect compared to the battle shounen angle.
Sleep well takahashi!

I'm still very bitter that this manga switched the mc from the girl to the guy, and it just became another shounen manga with not much substance

Ok, I got it now.
I thought Owari had won and Takahashi had died, but he was in fact mortally wounded so just gave his heart to Takahashi since he was dying anyway.
