I'm always looking for the next great shonen sports manga, although I generally drift towards basketball since Slam Dunk!
This first chapter feels like it rushes things a bit despite 60 pages. There's some set pieces here - the mentor, the reporter, the rival, and of course the protagonist who takes the lonely weirdo archetype. But I'm not getting much of a feel for any of it.
Of course, it could just be me, like I'm too old, or read too many of these. Still, it's only the first chapter. I feel obligated to give it another couple at least before deciding it's not for me.
