IDK, I think it finally got some (well focused? more? ... hmmm) direction recently but better? Nah, and even if so not by much. The core issue is, is he always makes excuses to not physically get stronger, despite seeing so many times what happens when he's not prepared. He relies on his power as a male instead and then uses that to win his situation with the intellect he has from his og world. Most of his issues are from the fact yota.... Just doesn't have the drive to be anything but a "cheater" and not long ago revelled in it. Ik women are on a timer. But imagine if Yota after his first humbling had trained each time he got his ass beat, into finally winning by using his wit and newly acquired strength. That's why I blame him, Kendo was a hurdle he overcame, he can become stronger now.

sure, but training takes time, time i haven't seen them take or get
even if he did Kendo for years in his own world he would still be weak in this one
most girls in the other world train from the moment they can

he is fighting fantasy beings with human strengh
in short things are pretty unfair to him, he only has advantage against girls but only weak ones
