Unless there is a very clear english equivalent, use the japanese suffixes.I feel like ive asked ths before but do yall prefer i use japanese honorifics or there western counterparts like Mr/Ms in place of san
im a bit unsure because this is a European style fantasy world so by that logic translating the honerifics makes sense but on the other hand it is japanese and not all honorifics translate like chan, kun and tan
true though in this most of the time its used in the context of sir or mr but then theres narcenna calling Iaust oniisan witch dosent translate well at all as its only real translation is brother but contextualy just means a a close older male, if it weren't for that everything would translate to western honorifics perfictly.Unless there is a very clear english equivalent, use the japanese suffixes.
They have meaning in context, and it's often more ....distracting... to see people desperately trying to fit very clear japanese relations, expressed as "honorifics", into an english/european mold that simply doesn't fit.
