Oh? We're actually going to have the isekai backstory be incorporated into the story? If I remember correctly, the protagonist used to live on Earth but was blown up by missiles, for some reason. I'm quite curious on what's the deal with the patriarch looking exactly like her master. Maybe her master planned for her to come to this world?

Maybe sister Ling Long! She would make a good leadership! Though idk if it's okay for a woman to become leader in this manhua settings.

@Kagamimocchi Seeing that the former acting patriarch was against making her the patriarch because she's the destroyer, and not because she's a woman, I suspect it's fine to have a woman as the acting patriarch/patriarch.

Wait now, soooo, destroyers cant be family patriarchs but can be lords of a city? How does that make any sense? Or is this patriarch rule just in their family? Hmmm...

@golialo if you allow Destroyers to be family patriarchs AND lords of a city, if a Destroyer ends up with both, clearly they'd promote their own family to the detriment of others even if accidentally. It's a good separation of power to prevent city lords from also being too nepotistic.

@Red225 as far as i understood it, most destroyers are not city lords and one doesnt have to be a destroyer to become a city lord. So for one to be both a city lord and a patriarch is a long shot, but i get that it would be a huge amount of power. (Leaving aside wether this culture would look at it as a bad thing or not,) i was just pointing out the discrepanzy of such a rule that would prevent a destroyer from getting Power and influence in one way but allow it in another. Of course,so far, it hasnt been said wether that patriarch rule is law or just a rule their family has (or have i got it wrong?)

Maybe they think of the role of City Lord to be (potentially) more of a formality than anything. Nobody expected Feng Yan to do the actual job, her uncle would have done it in her place (if he hadn't been such a douche nozzle and plotted against her). It was just a way for her to receive honor and riches without getting in the way of her duties as a Destroyer.

And maybe they think the job of Patriarch is a bit more serious and has to be done by someone who has the time for it. (Though judging by the grandpa, it's still possible to take a sabbatical...)
