Honestly, it would be a great manga and interesting enough with just the issues of a disability and the acceptance, but the author wanted to put rivals like every shoujo that exists. It justs drags the plot and makes it more boring.

It's also pretty funny how nobody ever moves on in shoujo. Somehow, the platonic love manages to survive years without them putting their eyes on someone else.

Did they ever mention what kind of accident he had that made him disabled?

If it was a truck, I pity him. Should have been reincarnated with superpowers and a harem, but instead he had to suffer this neverending hell of having to interact with that dumb girl.

Sadly, as the manga got licensed, Timeless Scans will stop their scanlation after chapter 26. Their announcement on their Facebook page:

Sadly I have some bad news... Perfect world got licensed sadly and we will drop it after ch26 so it is still a while off but I am sorry about it but I hope you will support the manga and buy them!

This is such a good manga. What I enjoy is it tackles a serious romance with patience and delicacy. I will miss this manga when we hit 26, I hope the licensed company will quickly catch up so I can buy and finish it!! (If not, I might have to read the Japanese version.)

@Gull: Count yourself lucky it's at least from high school. Consider all the shoujo where the kids are 18 and just have to find the person they said they'd marry back when they were five.

It sucks that this manga gets a bad wrap and labeled as NTR when it's not at all.

It's true that it's not NTR. But damn, there's some nasty bullshit. It's not just dramaaa although it's too much of that. You have
the female lead being constantly bullied, and she's kind of a doormat. Aside from her father, who is a selfish bastard, there is this nurse woman who loves the guy and constantly berates her and preys on her insecurity, like "You're not a nurse like me so you can't possibly take care of him", and then there's this other guy who's into her and just won't back off and keeps telling her being with a wheelchair guy is too hard on her yadda yadda. Meanwhile the nurse woman keeps working on the wheelchair guy she "loves", undermining his confidence so he'll think he's bad for the girl. And it all pretty much works--in the end the guy gets worn down to the point where he asks to break up, and she's so disheartened by all the bullshit that she doesn't fight it, and once they're broken up the other guy pushes and pushes and she gives in 'cause she's a doormat. There's even a bit later on when she comes to the MC and "apologizes" to her for being such a nasty bitch to her, but she's really just come to lie to her and claim she's gotten together with the male lead, in hopes that she'll give up and never talk to the male lead again so she can put the moves on him without competition. So OK, that stuff's not NTR, or even cheating, but it's pretty fucked up.
Presumably there will be a happy ending, you can kind of feel it coming. And there's some good stuff. But I get really frustrated by how the girl in particular lets herself be manipulated by assholes and it never even occurs to her that she should be telling them off.

I don't know about the rest but from the comments below, I can only assume they are too young to comprehend this 'josei' as flawed as it may be.
Ofc, the widely hated female antagonist, the caretaker has her flaws explained. The family of course just want what's best for their weak-hearted daughter, our MC unfortunately.
MC accepts the engineer because she hopes her feelings will fade and she does not wish to cause pain for the engineer, by accepting Ayukawa's plea to get back together. So all the 'antagonists' here have their reasons explained. Because if one were to switch places, would their decisions have seemed so out of thought?

Honestly, this work is far from perfect besides it having a male wheel chaired love interest.

So in short, from what I've seen every character here is just seeking their desire to happiness and love.

Volume 6, with chapters 25-29 can be purchased online digitally ( on kindle, google play etc.)
I just read chapter 27, and I was really shocked by what Ayukawa did on 3rd last page?
Their lives are still full of uncertainties and troubles but,
That seemed kinda cool and moving ?
EDIT:
chapter 29 ended in such a cliffhanger! If someone wants spoilers about it please pm me, I’m soo eager to gossip about it!

chapter 36

Tsugumi and Ayukawa, hand in hand. Tears are still continue to pour.

Tsugumi is at the train station waiting room with eyes wide awake. (T/N: I'm not sure, probably she's already in Matsumoto)

She recalled the event that happened last night with Ayukawa

Last night, when all the candles went out, the buses and trains bound for Matsumoto were already passed. With nowhere else to go, the both of them went to a small bar and had a talk whilst drinking a bit of sake until the place is closed. And after that they continue walking in the street of Tokyo.

Finally the first train in the morning has arrived. Tsugumi said "Well then" and rode the train while Ayukawa said "I will see you very soon" as he sent her off.

In Tsugumi's mind 'This love that were once over and to start over again is not something to be forgiven. I've trampled all over the trust and affection of the people who cherished me. Whatever reason I'm going to convey it is still something that cannot be forgiven' (T/N: Ugh, you also deserved happiness. She needs to stop demeaning herself any further.)

Koreeda too, didn't get enough sleep last night. In the morning, as he faced his office he's thinking of what he should do. He's thinking of not going to work overtime that day and then leave his office straight after.

Nagasawa-san, on the way to Ayukawa's house, bought the ingredients for Nabe. Whilst at it, she received an email from Ayukawa that says "Nagasawa-san, When you're coming to my place today, I have an important matter to say to you first hand."

Koreeda, as he left his office he went to Ayukawa's place. The two of them went to the park to talk. Koreeda asks, did Tsugumi came yesterday? Did Nagasawa-san knows? And Ayukawa is listening. Then he answered "I will tell her this evening."

Koreeda says, "You said the two of you are absolutely will never get back together."

Ayukawa answers, "...I'm sorry" That's all he could say.

Koreeda retorts, "Is it okay if I punch you once? Because there's no way I'm okay with it."

As Koreeda about to use all of his force to punch Ayukawa, he stopped halfway and says "Perhaps the one who deserved a beating is probably me."

And then Koreeda says, that time at the hospital he was entrusted the picture drawn by Tsugumi to hand it over to her. (T/N: refer to chapter 33)

Koreeda says, "I couldn't hand it over (to Kawana) and it was too awkward. I was fueled with jealousy." Then he continue, "During that time in high school, Kawana also paint the same painting, right? As Kawana paint whilst looking at you, from far away place, I'm also looking at her. I couldn't convey my feelings to her, Always. During high school graduation, I've made up my mind to confess to her and called her out. I've waited and waited but she didn't come. She didn't come to school that day because she caught a cold. In the end, nothing ever happened.

During the reunion, she came with you but you're on a wheelchair. I've never thought of stealing/make a move on (T/N: he didn't literally say 'stealing' but he did, didn't he?) someone else's girlfriend before. But at the bottom of my heart I thought "I will win this time". I'm the worst, right? But in the end, I will never win against you.

Ayukawa says, "There's nothing bad about that. That's just how it normally goes. What I can do for her is certainly limited. More than myself, there are other partner who suits her better. Even now the situation doesn't change. But I can't help it. No matter how many times I tried to severe ties with her, it reminds me of the connection we've made at the beginning and I can't seem to let her go. (T/N: Sorry, I'm not sure with the last part)

Now that Koreeda has said his true feelings, I have to say what's on my mind as well..thought Ayukawa.

At first I thought now that I can't walk anymore, I will never have a "normal" romantic relationship with anyone anymore. But honestly I wanted to be happy!! Ayukawa shouts. Then Koreeda says, "Then don't ever break up with her anymore!! From now on, you guys will go through some difficult situation!! You might not have an ally by your side, it'll probably just going to be the two of you!! And there will be no third chance!! If you let go of Kawana's hand ever again, at that time, I will definitely beat you up." Then Ayukawa says, "I know."

When Tsugumi arrived at her home, she received an email from Koreeda. That says, "Kawana I've talked with Ayukawa. You don't have to reply to this email and you don't have to see me anymore. Even though it was only for a short while, the time that I spent with you really did make me happy. Although I do have one thing that still bothers me, last night if we were to meet, I was planning to proposed to you. Then, I thought you might turned me down gently. But in the end, I didn't even get a chance to say it. But unexpectedly, I don't regret anything. I feel like I've use my utmost strength to love someone. Thank you for everything up until now. Please be happy. Even before now, I've always pray for your happiness."

Koreeda remember the time when he hugged Kawana whilst walking in the street of Tokyo.

As Tsugumi read Koreeda's email, her hand trembled then her smartphone fell. The screen on her phone broke, she sat down with her head hung low and she couldn't stop crying (again). source:https://goo.gl/nAmrXc
